Special Reaction Team (SRT) soldiers with the 728th Military Police Battalion, 8th Military Police Brigade advance in single file during a training exercise.

The 728th MP Battalion's SRT protects Schofield Barracks, Wahiawa, Hawaii against high-level threats as active shooters and terrorist attacks.

These SRT operators are wearing NOMEX fire-retardant coveralls and ACH helmets.

Except for the point man, who is weilding a ballistic shield and M9 handgun, the SRT soldiers are all armed with M4 carbines, fitted with various optics, with their M9s in holsters strapped to their thighs.

Chem-lights can be seen attached to the assault webbing of the man second-from-right.

These are can used as markers, for example, to indicate that a room has been cleared as an SRT sweeps through a building complex.
