Maritime Security Response Team

Maritime Security Response Teams are an element within the U.S. Coast Guard's Deployable Operations Group. MSRTs are first responders to potential terrorist situations. They are trained to retake hijacked vessels such as passenger ferries, interdict and secure vessels carrying WMDs and other maritime counter terrorism tasks.
