Officers with a U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Special Response Team (SRT) engage a simulated threat during training at White Sands Missile Range, Feb 2014.

Part of the Department of Homeland Securit, the CBP is a federal agency responsible for preventing terrorists from entering the United States, with a focus on protecting ports of entry.

The SRT is the agency's in-house Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) team.

These specially-selected CBP Officers are trained to deal with situations too complex or dangerous for regular CBP Officers.

These may include serving high risk warrants and active shooters.

Weapons employed by the SRT includes Heckler & Koch P2000 pistols in .
