Members of Cumberland County Sherrif's Office Special Response Team (SRT) make entry into a building during a training exercise at Fort Bragg, North Carolina.

The Special Response Team is a SWAT team within the Operations Division of Cumberland County Sherrif's Office.

The team is comprised of 11 full-time members, with 5 alternates.

The SRT was formed in 1995 and is primed to deal with unusual / dangerous scenarious such as hostage taking, barricaded suspects, active shooters and high risk arrest warrants.

During the exercise picture here, the SRT trained with other civilian SWAT teams and Fort Bragg's own Special Reaction Team.
