Marine Raiders with 1st Marine Raider Battalion (1st MRB) move out of the water while carrying out a simulated night raid.
The Marine Raiders are armed with MK18 carbines fitted with SU-231A/PEQ optics.
They are wearing MICH 2001 helmets and PVS-15 night vision goggles (NVG).
The 1st Marine Special Operations Battalion was activated in 2006 and redesignated as the 1st Marine Raider Battalion in June 2015.
It contains 4 Marine Special Operations Companies (MSOC), which each field 4 Marine Special Operations Teams (MSOT).
