A MARSOC parachutist jumps from the rear ramp of a MH-47 Chinook helicopter flown by the Army's 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment.

MARSOC is an umbrella command that has several components, including MSOBs, training, support and intelligence elements.

Like most special operations forces, MARSOC operators are skilled in a range of airborne insertion techniques including parachute insertion via helicopter or fixed-wing aircraft.
