Marine Special Operations Advisor Group (MSOAG)

A Marine from the Marine Special Operations Advisor Group (MSOAG) advises a Philippine soldier.

MSOAG specialize in training foreign military forces, a role also carried out by units such as U.S. Army Special Forces.

Part of the reason for setting up MSOAG was to free up other SOF units for more direct combat operations.

update: the MSOAG has since been reassigned to form the 3rd Marine Special Operations Battalion (3d MSOB).

Foreign Internal Defence is still a mission of the MSOBs.
