A Marine with the 1st Marine Special Operations Battalion (1st MSOB) climbs a rope ladder up into the rear of a MH-47 Chinook helicopter operated by the Army's elite 160th Special Operations Aviation (160th SOAR) during VBSS training.

The Night Stalkers of the 160th SOAR train regulary with special operations forces from all service branches in preparation for real-world missions.

The 160th SOAR flies Mh-47 Chinooks, Ah/MH-6 Little Bird and MH-60 Black Hawk helicopters on insertion/extraction missions in support of special operations forces.
