The 2D Ranger Battalion is a light infantry U.S. Army SOCOM unit that carries out special operations.

The unit is based at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Washington.

IT comprises a headquarters and headquarters company (HHC) and 4 rifle companies (A,B, C and D).
