A Ranger with the 75th Ranger Regiment looks through the optics of his M4A1 Carbine (SOPMOD block II) during a capabilties exercise.

The SOPMOD Block II program is a set of accessories for the M4a1s used by SOCOM forces.

These include state-of-the-art optics, laser aiming devices, visibile light flashlights, stocks and an extended RIS rail system.



The 75th Ranger Regiment is a U.S. Army Special Operations Command (Airborne) light infantry unit that specialises in direct action raids, airfield seizures, special operations support and personnel recovery and sensitive equipment retrieval.
