Dressed in woodland multicam BDUS, and wielding CQBR carbines, U.S. Army Special Forces soldiers stack up and prepare to enter and clear a room during live fire close quarters battle (CQB) training at Camp Commando in Kabul province, Afghanistan, 2014.

The Green Beerets are assigned to Combined Joint Special Operations Task Force-Afghanistan and are receiving refresher training to maintain and improve their CQB skills for when they go on operations with Afghan special operations forces.

They are training in a 'shoot house', consisting of various rooms and connecting corridors, lined with bullet-absorbing material that allows for training with live rounds.
