Special Tactics Air Commandos are AFSOC's boots on the ground.

They include Combat Control Technicians (CCTs), Pararescuemen (PJs), Special Operations Weather Teas (SOWTs) and Tactical Air Control Parties (TACPs).

Air Commandos are trained for their specialized roles and in general small unit tactics, helicopter insertion, amphibious operations and parachute insertion methods.
