A MQ-9 Reaper comes into land at an airbase in Afghanistan.

The MQ-9 Reaper is an remotely-piloted, armed, unmanned aircraft operated, among others, by AFSOC's 33rd Special Operations Squadron.

The Reaper's primary role is of close air support and intelligence and surveillance operations.

It can be armed with AGM-114 Hellfire missiles, GBU-12 Paveway II and GBU-38 Joint Direct Attack Munitions.
