Marines with the 24th MEU's Advanced Force Element (AFE) fire their weapons at a range during advanced combat marksmanship training.
The Advanced Force Element o is typically comprised of a Force Reconnaissance Platoon (FRP), augmented by Explosive Ordnance Disposal specialists, Radio Reconnaissance operators and intelligence specialists.
The AFE carries out reconnaissance and maritime interdiction operations.
