FRP | Force Reconnaissance Platoon

The Force Reconnaissance Platoon of the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit's (31st MEU) Maritime Raid Force (MRF) provide security during a long e range (1,100 miles) training exercise.
When attached to a MEU, Marines from a Force Reconnaissance Company deploy as a Force Recon Platoon (FRP).
The FRP gives the MEU a deep reconnaissance and direct action capability.
The FRP component of the Maritime Raid Force carries out direct action, high value target (HVT) kill or capture and visit board search and seizure (VBSS) operations.
