A pair of Marines from the 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit (Special Operations Capable) (MEU(SOC)) take aim with Squad Advanced Marksman Rifles (SAM-R) during training. The SAM-R is a M16A3 rifle with various modifications made to it to create a medium range sniper rifle suitable for use by designated marksmen.
