Members of Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego's Special Reaction Team (SRT) stack up outside a building and prepare to make entry during a training exercise.

As shown here, Marines in a stacked SRT work so closely together that they operate almost as a singular organism.

Roles within the stack include Pointman, Team Leader, Defenseman and Rear Security.

Special Reaction Teams are USMC Povost Office tactical teams that protect USMC bases.

SRT training includes stack formation drills, close quarters combat and dynamic entry.
