The Special Forces operators are driving Polaris MV 850s, a model of ATV / Quad bike.

The Polaris MV850 features a 850cc / 77 horse power 4-stroke SOHC Twin Cylinder Gas Engine, two fuel tanks with 11.

75 gallons total capacity, electronic power steering, anti-kickback steering, active dercent control and engine braking.

The MV850 features a rear storage rack that can carry up to 400lbs of gear and, as shown above, a front rack that can carry a further 200lbs.

A winch, rated at 3000lbs, is fitted at the vehicle's front and can be used to extract ATVs if they get bogged-down.

Army Special Forces operate the Polaris ATV and Kawasaki and Polaris LTATV side-by-side vehicles in Afghanistan.
