31st MEU - SOTG - Exercise

Marines with the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit (31 MEU) Maritime Raid Force (MRF) conduct training with the Third Marine Expeditionary Force Special Operations Training Group. 3 elements of the MRF, including the Force Recon Platoon, Amphibious Recon Platoon and a security/trailer platoon from the Battalion Landing Team, took part in a simulated long range raid on a enemy compound. The 31st MEU Maritime Raid Force is a special operations formation that carries out small scale direct action missions against maritime and on-shore targets.
