SWAT is part of Carson City Sherrif Office's Patrol Division. The 12-man unit is tasked with performing high risk arrests, hostage rescue and responding to barricaded suspects (among other roles). Training includes an annual 40 hour course at SWAT School with a further 10 hours of refresher training each month.

This SWAT Officer is armed with an AR-15 5.56x45mm rifle fitted with a Sightmark 4x24 AR-223 scope and a Midwest Industries M-LOK free-floating handrail. His secondary firearm is a Heckler & Koch VP9 9mm. Other sidearms carried by Carson City SWAT include the Sig Sauer P320 9mm.
