U.S. Army Green Berets assigned to the 7th Special Forces Group (Airborne) (7th SFG(A) stack up and prepare to enter a room during an exercise in Belize, 2014.

The 7th SFG(A)'s area of responsibility covers South America, Central America and the Caribbean.

The Special Forces soldiers are wearing woodland Multicam BDUs and MICH 2001 helmets over Peltor COMTAC headsets / ear defenders.

Note the AN/PVS-15 night Vision Goggles mounted atop the helmets and their battery packs fitted at the rear.

The Green Berets are armed with MK18 CQBR 5.56mmx45mm carbines fitted with PMAG-30 polymer magazines, Insight WMX200 Visible Bright Lights, AN/PEQ-15 Advanced Target Pointer Illuminator Aiming Lasers (ATPIAL) and SU-231A/PEQ holographic sights.

The SU-231A is a relatively new piece of kit added to the SOF arsenal.

It is the military designation for the EXPS3 sight made by EOTECH. The new sight takes up less rail space than the EOTech 553 models also used.
