A Combatant Craft Medium (CCM), operated by sailors of Special Boat Team 12 (SBT 12) transits San Diego Bay in early 2016.
The CCM is a low observable tactical boat deployed by Special Warfare Combatant-craft crewmen (SWCC) of Special Boat Teams 12 and 20. It is designed for the insertion and extraction of special operation forces (SOF) in low-to-medium threat environments.
Note the .50 cal heavy machine gun fitted at the stern. A remote weapon station, controlled by a console inside the CCM's cabin, can be fitted to the bow.
