A Marine Corps Scout Sniper fires a M107 Special Applications Scoped Rifle (SASR) at a target 1,200 meters away during training.

The M107, sometimes known as the 'light fifty' is a semi-automatic .50 caliber anti-material rifle and is a refined variant of the M82 Barrett rifle.

It fires a .50 BMG (12.

7 x 99 mm) round out to an effective range of 1,800 meters.

U.S.M.C. Scout Snipers can take out a range of targets from enemy personnel to armoured vehicles.
