Members of Fort Carson's Special Reaction Team (SRT) move out from a Lenco armored vehicle and prepare to enter a school building during a joint training exercise.

U.S. Army Special Reaction Teams are Military Police (MPs)tactical units, similar in role and training to Police SWAT teams.

SRTs are staffed by select, experienced, specially-trained MPs.

Their role is to deal with crisis situations and resolve them with minimal loss of life, if possible.
