Special Operations psychological warfare, recently rebranded to the less-threatening-sounding 'Military Information Support Operations' (MISO), employs a range of techniques designed to influence the behaviour of the enemy.
Until recently, the 4th Psychological Operations Group was the MIS provider for U.S. Army Special Operations Command, (USASOC).
They have since been renamed as the 4th Military Information Support Group (Airborne) (4th MISG(A)).
Another Military Information Support Group, the 8th MISC(A) has been established alongside the 4th.
