Marines with Radio Reconnaissance Platoon, 3rd Radio Battalion approach the beach from the surf during a Radio Reconnaissance Operator Course. During this amphibious exercise, the Marines finned ashore from a drop-off point 2 km out to sea.

Radio Reconnaissance Teams (RRT) carry out tactical signals intelligence (SIGINT) / electronic warfare operations. They employ sophisticated eavesdropping gear in order to monitor, locate and track enemy transmissions.
