Maritime Security Response Team - Fast-Rope Insertion

A Maritime Security Response Team (MSRT) Direct Action Section (DAS) operator takes a knee and provides security as his team-mates fast-rope down onto a vessel from a U,S, Navy Sea Hawk helicopter during a counter terrorism exercise.

MSRTs are pro-active United States Coast Guard (USCG) counter-terrorist teams that specialise in maritime operations.

The foremost MSRT operator is wearing a Eagle Industries multicam DPC Assault Plate Carrier, multicam shirt and pants.

His hands are protected by Petzl rappelling gloves.

He has a AN/PVS-14 Night Vision Goggle monocle atop his Ops-Core FAST Ballistic Maritime (multicam).

He is wearing Peltor Comtac III headset and M40 gas mask.

The foremost operator is armed with a MK18 CQBR 5.56mm x 45mm carbine, setup to fire simunition training rounds.

The carbine is fitted with an Aimpoint red dotsight, AN/PEQ-15 laser, and a WMX200 Visible Bright Light
