A member of the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU)'s Deep Reconnaissance Platoon (DRP) fires a MEU(SOC) .

A Deep Reconnaissance Platoon, made up of Force Recon Marines, are now sub units within a parent Force Reconnaissance Company.

As the name indicates, DRPs carry out deep-level reconnaissance, often operating far from their assigned Marine Division's front line.
